Dear IAU Friends,
I hope all of you are doing well.
We have an exciting week coming up with the 10th IAU 50km World Trophy Final in Doha, Qatar on Oct 31st. For the first time in the Middle East! Please find the media report for the event download in this link.
You can follow the race live at home. The following site: will carry results. You can also like the facebook page and follow the twitter page for the race site at this website as well. This will allow you to follow the race from the comfort of your home.
There will also be an opportunity (site to be released in a couple of days) for you to “watch” the live race. The LOC will have three cameras set up on the course and you will be able to click on the view you would like to watch. This needs to be confirmed. Please refer back to our website by Wednesday for more information on this site.
In addition to the racing events, we are taking the opportunity, to bring the international athletes closer to the local running community. We have arranged trips to schools, a training event with local runners and a chat with elite athletes’ session. All of these are voluntary events and the response from our athletes has been tremendous. These events will be followed at the 100km world champs as well.
Please note that in reference to the 100km World Championships in 3.5 weeks, the preparations are going very well, and we have received almost all the Final Entry Forms (FEFS) back. Also, it is important to note that, even if your federation has listed names of Masters athletes on the FEF, these athletes still need to sign up for the Masters Championships at ( and pay the required registration fee. The deadline to do this and be included in the WMA championship is Nov. 1st.
Since the LOC websites will carry the Live Camera footage and the Timing Website will carry Live Results (And Twitter plus Facebook Updates) we will not carry Live Updates on the IAU website. We will also post a news item directing you to these sites.
